About Us
A Centred You is a community Interest Company (CIC) providing therapeutic activities for individuals of all ages affected by trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACE's), whether directly or through a loved one in their home.
Our initiative was born from our personal experiences as black and mixed heritage women, coupled with our professional backgrounds in mental health services, social, youth, and community work. Having faced our own mental health challenges we recognised a significant gap in services tailored to the unique needs of the communities we live and work in, including therapeutic activities. We wanted to help support those needs and promote positive health and wellbeing for all ages.
We aim to address the growing mental health challenges within our communities. By offering culturally competent, inclusive support, we seek to bridge the gap in services and promote positive mental health and wellbeing for all people.

Our Values
Cultural Competence: We respect the diverse backgrounds of the individuals we serve, ensuring that our therapeutic approaches are informed by an understanding of culture, identity, and lived experiences.
Inclusivity: We are committed to creating a welcoming, non-judgemental environment where everyone feels safe, valued, and supported on their healing journey, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or personal history.
Holistic Wellbeing: Our therapeutic activities are designed to nurture the whole person, promoting a balanced and sustainable wellbeing.
Compassion: We approach all of our interactions with empathy, understanding that healing from trauma requires patience, care, and genuine connection.
Growth & healing: We are committed to fostering environments where personal healing and growth can thrive, believing that every person deserves the opportunity to overcome challenges and lead a fulfilling life.
